Board of Adjustment
The Stearns County Board of Adjustment is a seven-member body that is appointed by the County Board of Commissioners.
Dairy Advisory Committee
The mission of the Dairy Advisory Committee is to recommend and advise local and state government on policies that will enhance and benefit the agricultural industry and specifically the dairy industry.
Delinquent Refuse Account Appeals Panel
The Delinquent Refuse Account Certification Appeals Panel is vested with the responsibility for hearing and deciding appeals relating to delinquent refuse (garbage) account certifications.
Extension Committee
The Committee serves in both an advisory and an advocacy role to the Stearns County Extension staff.
Feedlot Review Committee
The Feedlot Review Committee acts in an advisory and review capacity for the Planning Commission on all proposed feedlot conditional use and interim use permits and other feedlot-related issues.
Noxious Weeds Appeal Committee
The Noxious Weeds Appeal Committee is vested with providing a fair and objective forum for property owners to appeal their “order” for control or eradication of noxious weeds by inspecting the property as outlined in the statute.
Planning Commission
This Commission is responsible for reviewing and recommending comprehensive plan amendments and ordinance changes and related activities.
Watershed Districts & Boards of Managers
A watershed district may cover several counties. The boundaries of the districts follow the natural watershed (region or area which drains to a particular watercourse or body of water). A watershed district is usually named after the biggest watershed in the district.
Wetland Appeals Panel
The purpose of the panel is to hear and decide on appeals of decisions made by the Wetland Rules Committee in regards to the Minnesota Wetland Conservation Act (Chapter 8420).
Wetland Rules Committee
The Committee is responsible for making decisions on issues regulated by the Minnesota Wetland Conservation Act, such as approving or denying wetland replacement plans and approving or denying wetland banking plans.
